Liposuction

Lipoplasty or Liposuction, as it is commonly known, is the world’s most popularly used plastic surgery procedure. A body contouring procedure, liposuction is defined by the FDA as “a surgical procedure intended to remove fat deposits and shape the body.”

The main reason for the popularity of liposuction is that unlike regular surgery, it is minimally invasive. Yet it can provide great fat removal results for those who are not heavily overweight by providing them with nicely sculpted, shapely bodies in a short time

Unlike what is commonly believed, not everyone is an ideal candidate for liposuction and it is especially not advised for people who are looking at weight loss options. Liposuction is a body shaping procedure that is a good choice for people who are not extremely overweight, since only 25% of the total fat from a certain portion of the body can be removed through a lipoplasty. It is advised only for people who need small amounts of fat removal for reshaping and contouring body parts like the breasts, hips, thighs, abdomen, arms and double chins.

Also, liposuction is only advised for healthy, disease free individuals who have been unable to lose stubborn fat even after strict dieting and exercise. Never to be considered as a substitute for regular weight loss methods, lipoplasty is a body contouring procedure that should only be considered as the last option for getting rid of “ absolutely hard to get rid of fat” from specific portions of the body.

The main benefit of liposuction is that it can provide a person with toned, aesthetically appealing and well-sculpted body parts in almost no time. It is the ultimate fat removal solution when all kinds of diets and exercises fail in eliminating fat from certain parts of the body.
Since fat cells are permanently removed with liposuction, sculpted body parts remain that way for life, until and unless a person gains too much excess weight. In many cases, liposuction is the only way of removing “hard to get rid of” fat from under the chin, thighs, abdomen, hips, knees, calves, flanks and arms.

Even the most old-fashioned liposuction techniques are minimally invasive leading to fast recoveries. In most cases, people undergoing lipoplasty can start work within 3 to 4 days of surgery, with complete healing taking place in around two weeks’ time. The use of new techniques combined with injected anesthetics has led to many of these processes being carried out in out-patient clinics without hospitalization.

Stem Cell Therapy For Hair Loss

Stem Cell Therapy For Hair Loss

Recent technology for the treatment of Alopecia (Baldness) i.e. Male pattern hair loss, female pattern hair loss & hair loss associated with various disorders is stem cells. It is a revolutionary treatment for hair fall. The stem cells promote new hair growth within 3 to 4 weeks of treatment. The hair density increases by 30 to 40% by three sessions of treatment. On an average six sessions are required once in a week to 10 days along with which supplements are given. Stem cells activate the dead hair follicles and convert them into growing healthy new hair follicles.

Research has shown very rewarding results with the stem cell therapy for hair loss by replenishing the lost stem cells. These stem cells are pure human stem cells produced outside the body by Genetic engineering technology just as we have human insulin for diabetics. These stem cells are harvested and then multiplied in the laboratory to produce the stem cells in volume for the treatment purpose.

The treatment with the stem cells requires multiple sessions because it is always better to infuse fresh stem cells more than the required number so that maximum results can be obtained. The method of injection into the scalp is by using specific instruments especially designed for precise drug delivery into the hair follicle to an appropriate depth. Another method of introducing the stem cells into the scalp is through the scalp rolling technology where the stem cells are introduced by means of tiny pricks into the scalp surface.

Results have been very good with the stem cell technology and even advanced grades of hair loss have shown reasonably good results with this therapy. It is absolutely safe and without any known side effects except for a mild pin prick sometimes felt during the injection procedure.
